Styled Shoot: Monohans Sandhills

Ever since I learned about the sand dunes in Utah, I knew I wanted to shoot there. But because I am in Texas and nowhere near Utah, I found a location about 6 hours from Dallas that was the closest look I could get to called the Monohans Sandhills. Its a state park so you do have to pay to get in but it was very inexpensive I believe like $7 per person. The place is massive so we were able to steer clear of people easily. The best time to go is obviously close to sunset time if you want those beautiful golden hour shots with the sand.

We got there around 3pm and I got to photograph one of my boudoir photographer friends Rebecca (you can find her on instagram @bonnenuitcherieboudoir) first using tape from @blacktapeproject. I also photographed Whitney from Big Brother (@makeupbywhit on instagram if you want to follow her) in several looks.

The shiny dress is from Amekana Boutique and it took me 4 hours to remove all the protective coverings on the mirror pieces of the dress— which later I learned the faster way to remove the strips was the to take some tape and pull it off all at once (thank you tiktok followers). The cowgirl outfit she brought but the cowgirl texas hat is a part of my client closet and I got it from @rhinestonecowgirl you can find her on etsy or instagram, they are well worth the price. The red lingerie outfit I believe was from shein and she brought it and the head scarf as well. The tan dress and the the white curtain I got on amazon and I loved how simple it looked.

This whole trip was a total blast, and I cant wait to create more fun images this summer!
