Styled Shoot: Poolside
I fell off posting on my blog and I have been dying to come back on here and share more of my work with yall, ESPECIALLY this amazing session I had last summer! I finally finished editing it and I am so happy with the results.
A little backstory— this location is actually another boudoir photographers’ home. They so graciously offered it for us to use since I didn’t exactly have a great location in mind for this and if were being honest, well, not a lot of apartment complexes will allow you to nudes in their pools and there are very few spaces on peerspace that you can shoot at a pool in my area.
I knew that I wanted to do several looks, I wanted it all to coordinate from her head to her toes. She brought a few of her own accessories and swimwear and I provided the rest. I bought a few pool floaties on amazon, brought lots of fruit, some ice cream, bright colored towels from Walmart, some shine spray for her skin (that you can snag on amazon) and some other random things to bring the whole vibe together. Not expensive at all to gather!
Now, I will say I had some help with the harsh lighting, my friends Anna and Oscar came that day to film a boudoir video of the shoot and thankfully had also brought a reflector (which is key for shooting in broad daylight especially around noon).
I have also shot with Jade a few other times before this and she is very good about knowing her body and how to pose. Regardless when it comes to a shoot like this, less is more! The client is what you want to focus on and the poses dont have to be anything crazy. Just know your angles and dont be afraid to get low for some shots or zoom in for those details ;)
