Styled Shoot: Halloween Boudoir

As a photographer, I have a list of random styled shoots I would like to eventually shoot on my down time. This one in particular turned out to be easier than I thought it would be! i had never shot with Toni, but she was a total natural. We had a blast doing something more spooky and still sexy!

The thing with a styled shoot or when you have a theme, is that you dont over-do it. You dont want so much going on that your eye doesnt know where to look. You still want the focus of the shoot to be of the client, of course. There are such simple ways in executing this: use props that have color or that shine, have your client bring something of their own to pair with your theme (like a hat, boots etc.), play with natural light and use different types of rugs or blankets, and my favorite— dont be afraid to play with different editing styles.

I shot these about 3 years ago, and havent done a Halloween theme since. Maybe this year I will get to shoot something fun!
