Styled Shoot: Dallas Dollhaus

Starting the year off strong with the last shoot that I did in 2024.

I had been wanting to visit this studio space for a few years but because of the nature of the decor (it being very particular) I was limited on who I could work with here. Thankfully, the model that shot with me (@savannah_strebor make sure you follow her on instagram) was celebrating her birthday the week that we decided to shoot here so it worked out perfectly. I had so many ideas because this space was curated ceiling to floor in all pink furniture, props and decor. I wanted to keep what she wore “simple” in a sense because we were overwhelmed by everything in the space, we didnt need much to make her pop. I told her to bring some body chains, a black outfit, some heels, and a couple of lingerie sets that were pink or white. I didnt necessarily want her to blend in with the background in each room but I wanted it to make sense. The space has its own client closet of clothes you can use as well included in the rental. If you want to shoot at this space its called Dallas Dollhaus and its located in Arlington, Texas. Its a 2 bedroom corner apartment and goes for about $100/hour.

We shot in the playboy bathroom, the boudoir closet, the living room and the kitchen. I didnt end up using the other room there because it was red and not what I was going for. But there are endless possibilities of spots to work with here. I rented the space for 2 hours and probably couldve done more with an extra hour but was happy with what I got in that time frame.

I also knew that shooting here there wasnt going to be much if any natural light (and if yall know me you know that is my jam) so I would have to use lighting and it wasnt going to be the same dark and moody style as usual. But, I embrace change and I love to do a passion project at least once a month that challenges me as a photographer. I love to be able to play with different sets, models and lighting… and here are the results!
